Mint Condition

'That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection........ Phil 3:10'

Hello my dearies, Happy Easter to you, Hope you had fun we thank God for making us see another Easter again. Yes as christians we celebrate the birth of Jesus but it wont be complete if we dont celebrate His death and His resurrection. I wonder how He felt when He was told by His Father that the only way we can be reconciled to Him is thru Him being a sacrificial lamb but guess what it wasnt isnt but He did it, and I praise Him for it cos I can come to him anytime and I have direct access to my Father Halleluya.

Feeling like a pastoress now if I may say so, was thinking of what to wear for easter sunday and I just felt a breath of fresh air, yes you guessed right mint, funny enough I dont really like mint sweets my Deltan King loves mint ice-cream I hate it lolll am a vanilla babe anytime, anyday but for some reason I love mint as a colour cos of its sweetness and coolness, decided to pair this mint blazer I got from H&M I practically stalk their website all the time infact when I open their site the first place I click is their sales lolll dont blame me I love bargains and when I saw that the blazer I have been stalking for a while was on sales I grabbed the opportunity with both hands got some other things too from their site there was this yellow gold clutch I got too very lovely. Makeup Wednesday: Purrrffect Face

Hello everyone, hope you are doing great still waiting for spring hmmmmm still waiting loll anyway as we are waiting just enjoy this tips.
1. Cleanser
Make sure you cleanse properly in the morning to keep your skin looking fresh and clear. You can do this really quickly in the shower using a washable cleanser that will even remove eye make-up.
2. Tinted Moisturiser
Use a tinted moisturiser as an easy alternative to foundation. Depending on which brand you choose, you'll get slightly different coverage: some are quite sheer while others give good coverage.  If you have dry skin you'll need a moisturiser under your tinted moisturiser for extra hydration.
3. Concealer
Don't forget concealer, one of my can't-live-without products. If you don't want to wear a base, just use a concealer pen under your eyes and to cover any imperfections make sure you choose a colour that matches your skin tone. If you want to use the concealer pen just under the eyes, choose a colour slightly lighter than your skin tone.
4. Face Powder
Invest in a good face powder to sweep onto your T-zone to remove shine throughout the day.  I really like MAC Mineralize Skinfinish/Natural - it has a lovely natural matte finish and its light coverage makes it perfect for touch ups throughout the day.

5. Blusher
Blusher is perfect for perking up your complexion. Cream and gel blushers are great for natural-looking colour and really quick and easy to apply. I like Bloom Sheer Colour Cream, MAC Cream Blusher and Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge. Just apply two or three dots on the apples of your cheeks and blend upwards and outwards. Choose a powder one if you don't feel confident using a cream or gel - powders are also better in summer, when your skin will produce more oil. If your skin is oily generally then always go with a powder blusher.
6. Eyeshadow
If you don't have much time to apply eye make-up, just apply a couple of coats of black mascara or brush one colour of eyeshadow all over the eyelid. Either go for a neutral colour to brighten up the eye, such as Bobbi Brown Bone, MAC Vanilla or Clinique Seashell, or a taupe shade such as Laura Mercier Eye Basic in Flax or MAC Wedge.
7. Eyeliner
Use an eyeliner to give your eyes definition - this is also a quick way to add a bit of colour to your eyes by using a coloured eye liner. Clinique Quickliner for Eyes is great as the kohl is really soft so doesn't drag around your eyes. It comes with a smudge tip on one end so you can 'smoke' the line to soften it a bit. Try a purple kohl to really make blue eyes pop, bronze for green eyes and pewter for brown eyes. MAC also do a huge range of coloured eye kohls.
8. Illuminating Fluid
If your skin is looking a bit tired, use an illuminating fluid after your moisturiser or mix it in with your moisturiser to give your skin a fresh dewy glow. MAC Strobe Cream is perfect: either use all over the face or apply just to your brow bone and the top of your cheekbone.
9. Lipstick
Add a bit of colour to your lips to brighten up your face, use a sheer lipstick, tinted lip balm or tinted lip gloss. Vaseline do a rose-tinted lip balm which is brilliant value and MAC do tinted Lip Gelees, which give the appearance of a gloss but without the sticky texture.

Be Different, Be You

'The Lord is my sheperd I shall not want' Ps 23:1

Oh what a week! Had a lot to do, shopping, meeting up with friends ooops where are my manners? Sorry dearies how are you doing? Hope you had a nice week? Well it was officially spring on the 20th but aint seen no spring yet lolll instead its snowing, I mean where is this snow from especially in March at this rate we would have a white Easter oh well since we didnt have a white Christmas. We cant complain as long as we are comfortably dressed for it or should I say warmingly lol.

Dare to be different from anyone else, do your own thing, be you dont compare yourself with someone else, Make plans and stick to it, live your dreams yes there would be distractions and challenges but dont worry God always makes a way where there seems to be no way and He still answers prayers.

Life is a risk so is fashion too,  yes its got its rules but sometimes rules are meant to be broken especially when it has to do with your own personal style. Mixed prints has come to stay in the fashion world and its gives room to style it the way you want especially mixing different prints one feels comfortable with, I decided to pair a stripe top with floral pants believe I had to try this outfit in my room first before I had the courage to wear it to church today loll. Hope you like the pics.

Trending: Pointed shoes

My dearies, hope you are doing great and your week isnt too stressfull. Yes its the start of a weekend, a time to relax and unwind after a long week.

Pointed shoes is one of the trends of 2013 in the fashion world if you are looking to take a fashionable step into spring, let your shoes lead the way sleek, sophisticated and ladylike, the pointy-toe shoe is coming back strong, pushing several seasons’ worth of chunky platforms toward the back of the closet.

Pointed shoes, which are among the Spring/ Summer 2013 shoe trends, are sexy and stylish. They make a woman’s foot look feminine and small, and they are perfect to complete any elegant and sophisticated look.

Some pointed shoes come with metallic toes which have also returned to fashion. Such shoes are also interesting. Besides, they are hugely practical since toes are the first things we tend to destroy when wearing shoes.

Have a lovely day everyone

Makeup Wednesday: How To Clean Make-Up Brushes

Hey beauties hope your week is going great, here is our makeup tip for this week.

Makeup Brushes  are the perfect way to achieve that sought after professional finish to your beauty routine. Your make-up is only as good as the brushes you're using, and when it comes to choosing the perfect set of make-up  brushes. While they all do the same job, there's a lot of difference their bristles, their quality and ultimately the results they can give.

And as you have to use make-up  brushes every day, they are definitely worth investing in and also it is essential that one takes care of them too.

How often should you wash your make-up brushes?
It's important to wash your make-up brushes regularly as they harbour dirt and bacteria that can cause spots. I recommend washing them every week.

Cleaning make-up brushes can be done in two ways: you can use an instant brush cleanser for a quick cleanse, or if you want to give them a really thorough clean, wash them with shampoo and leave to dry overnight.

Make sure that you don't get any water on the handle or the ferrule of the brush (the ferrule is the part that holds the brush fibres to the handle) - this will damage the brush fibres and make your brush moult.

Pour some cleanser into a ramekin or petri dish and dip each brush gently into the solution.

Alternatively, put some mild shampoo or washing up liquid in the palm of your hand, and swirl the brush into it. Then rinse clean under running water. I like to give big powder brushes a quick condition after shampooing, to leave them really soft, but you don't need to do this for all your brushes.

Gently swirl the brush onto a clean tea towel or hand towel to wipe off excess water. Whilst the brush is damp, reshape it and place it to dry on the edge of a table.

Trending: Neon

Hello lovelies,

One of the prettiest fashion trends for Spring/Summer 2013 is a block of neon colours that can be used to brighten up your wardrobe - whether you want to add a fresh accent to your monochrome pieces, or even introduce a new  colour into your work or casual wardrobe.

Whether you opt for accessories or neon clothes, statement tones are a great way to freshen up your look for summer.

And while it's easy to associate "neon" with extremely bold and bright shades, the effects here are definitely softer than you might expect. Sheer neons, or knits with subtle neon accents, or dresses with only one bold neon accent - we have a real variety to choose from this season.

If you work in an office, keep the neon to a minimum - a new neon tank will look great underneath a tailored jacket, or how a casual neon-print soft knit paired with elegant trousers? If you are already enjoying the monochrome trend, a muted neon cardigan or boucle jacket with neon trim will add depth (and a new look) to those existing pieces. For your casual wear, you can be as bold as you like - colour block with neon, or go solid with an orange top, skinny jeans and ankle boots. Check out the variety below:
